Our Curriculum, Programmes and Costings
Our curriculum will include:
- A full induction, including meeting the parents
- A personalised timetable for all students to support their needs
- Physical activity to support students mental and physical health
- Personal development to give students the skills and confidence to navigate any situation
- A themed approach to learning to provide meaning to the knowledge and skills students will learn
- English and maths to suit the level of need for each student
- Keyskills to support students with the skills they need for later life e.g. cooking, budgeting etc.
Each programme will be for a minimum of 6 weeks and can be 2, 3,4 or 5 days a week. The morning sessions are aimed at students who are at risk of exclusions due to behaviour concerns or are permanently excluded and need a part-time provision. The afternoon sessions are aimed at students whose mental health or medical needs prevents them from attending mainstream school. A student cannot access both sessions.

If a student is with us for 5 days a week we will support the reintegration back into mainstream school through:
- Attending any meetings in school
- Continued communication with school and family
- Frequent visits to the school to monitor the students progress

Maxine Fox
Head
Maxine is an experienced professional who has dedicated over 20 years of her career to working in secondary schools. Throughout her journey, She has taken on various roles, including senior leadership positions with whole school responsibilities, including DSL, pastoral and attendance. Maxine is also a restorative practitioner and trainer, proving her commitment to promoting positive and respectful relationships within education settings. Her natural ability to build strong connections with young people has been the cornerstone of her success, as she firmly believes that every child has the potential to achieve success.

Karen Wright
Deputy Head/DSL
Karen is also an experienced professional with over 20 years of dedicated service in secondary schools. Her expertise lies in the field of safeguarding children, and she goes above and beyond to stay up-to-date with all aspects of this critical area. One of Karen's notable strengths is her exceptional ability to build strong relationships, particularly with the parents of students. She understands the importance of collaboration and open communication between parents and schools in creating a supportive environment for students. Karen excels in seeing the bigger picture, recognising the various factors that impact a student's wellbeing, enabling them to achieve their best.
